The Volcanic Landscape Archaeology Collective aims to create a community for archaeologists, volcanologists, and researchers from other disciplines to communicate and collaborate. Volcanic landscapes exist all over the world and have served as contexts of important social activities since early prehistory. The main objective of VLAC is to bring together scholars to discuss issues, share resources, and collaborate on regional and global levels.

Discussion will be prompted via the forum with regular discussion topics; questions and replies are very welcome. It is also hoped that in the future, workshops and conferences will be organized.

This website will host a Community page with contact information for scholars and projects involved with projects at volcanic landscapes. If you would like to add information about yourself and your project to the database, please use the ‘scholar’ and ‘project’ questionnaire forms that are linked to these pages.

Many thanks,
